Our clients range in age from 30 to 90, are married, widowed and single, and come from all walks of life. They live throughout the United States and in several foreign countries. There really is no "typical" client, but our service seems to appeal most to families approaching "retirement" (for which our clients have many definitions!) with a nest egg of $1-$10 million. Some have accumulated more, often through stock options or the sale of a business.  

Approximately 60% of our clients have already retired from traditional full time employment in every field imaginable: teaching, business, engineering, medicine, law and government service. Another 20% are looking forward to the freedom that comes from financial independence, and Financial Advantage is helping make that a reality for them. Most of the rest of our families are mid-career professionals balancing the costs of raising and educating their children with the need to build an adequate retirement nest egg. 

Our retired clients are busy people! They teach reading to children, play steel drums, care for ailing parents, start new businesses, read more than ever before, babysit grandkids, golf and travel. That is the "Better Life" that is made possible by good planning and steady investment returns. 

With a few exceptions, we are responsible for the management of each client's entire investment portfolio, including joint and individual investment accounts, legacy variable annuities, Trusts, IRAs and active employee accounts. The principal financial concern for most of our client families is to make adequate financial provision for themselves (and a surviving spouse or special needs survivor) so that they feel assured of financial independence well beyond an average life expectancy. An important part of our work is to see that an ample "paycheck" continues decades beyond employment.
